the same thin lizzy line up featured on the "jailbreak" album does it again here. the album opener,"johnny", tears out of the gate like a freight train and not to be missed, what i think is one of the greatest rock ballads ever, the beautiful "borderline". By a reviewer (detroit, michigan).

referencing Johnny The Fox, CD, Album, RE, PPD Jailbreak was such a peak that it was inevitable that its follow-up would fall short in some fashion and Johnny the Fox, delivered the same year as its predecessor, did indeed pale in comparison.

Jan 24,  · "Johnny The Fox", is kind of lost in the Thin Lizzy catalog, but this has some strong tracks in the rockin' "Johnny", great lead off track! Some smokin' guitar workout on "Rocky'. "Borderline", this is what Guns And Roses and other 80's acts adopted this kind of sound, Phil's vocals are tops!/5(23).

What came out was Johnny and the Fox, a not-really-concept-album that while it was no where nearly as successful as Jail Break, it still rocked fairly hard. Thin Lizzy always has an air of danger in their music.
