‘ Covenant ‘ has been providing the scene with great, dark dance music for over 20 years now. The band line up changed a lot of times and so the musical path did, too. ‘The Blinding Dark’ is an awesome title for their ninth studio album. The harbinger ‘ Sounds Mirrors ‘ in August this year hit like a bomb.

Nov 04,  · The rest is a fantastic return to sounds past. Gorgeous gothy feel, deep rich synths and catchiness only Covenant seem capable of producing. Take those tracks off and it is a classic. "Dies Irae", "Morning Star" and "Cold Reading" are dark and brooding, while the rest is dancy and irresistable dance music. Pity I don't dance!/5(40).

"The Blinding Dark" is definitely not Covenant's most easily accessible album. It does not contain as many hits as classics like "Northern Light" or "United States of Mind," and it is surely less pleasant than Covenant's most striking earworms "Dead Stars" and "Happy Man.".

Jul 14,  · I would have liked to have the option to NOT own the EP, but cheekily the other variant of The Blinding Dark LP has a decreased tracklist, missing 3 of the album tracks. So it was a choice of the full album with the incredibly annoying bonus EP or the single LP version missing 3 of the tracks/5().
