In closing, Kingdoms Disdained is certainly a welcome turn away from the dreaded "I" album and does offer some new material up that hits pretty hard, but doesn't do much to stand out from earlier Tucker-era Morbid Angel albums. While overall serviceable as an album, there is a lot of stylistic regression and stagnation, and the songs don't get.
